When does Spring Break end? I want to WFH in Miami Beach for a week or so but want to avoid the crowds.

They basically went up market. Aggressive code enforcement banning late night drinking and then fining problem businesses out of business.

The cure to South Beach spring break problems is to make it completely unaffordable to college kids. From what I understand, dirt cheap airline fares and hotel rooms/airbnb's are attracting the rif raff. Part of this is COVID related. The cure is $300 and $400 a night hotel rooms. They need to schedule a lot of prestige big money programming during March/April.

Vegas had the same issue when it opened up after Covid. Same issues as Sobe. The hotels smartened up and starting raising hotel prices very quickly when there was constant shootings, fights, etc on the strip and in the casinos. Wynn is the ONLY hotel that does metal detecting at their doors. After the brawl at Encore, they enforced it immediately.

This south beach video is pretty insane. The people buying those million dollar condos are going to be pissed and crack down on this nonsense.

To hear the hand wringers talk, Armageddon was nigh. But, of course, those worries were overblown. That didn't happen.

The hospitality trade needs tourists and the Spring Break crowd helps to bring in revenue. Again, it's only a couple of weeks.
It's spring break in Florida too - students living IN Florida are on spring break. Where do you think they should go, if not to their own beaches, and nightclubs, and social gatherings? Why should businesses have to endure the destruction of property? Why should employees have to clean up the puke and litter and spend days cleaning up the booze-stained carpets and linens in hotel rooms and hallways?

And what kind of parents are they, who raise their children to behave like wild animals let loose from their zoo cages? And what kind of person says "it's only for just a couple of weeks?"
