When I went to Keywest this year I thought that I would see a lot of Cubans since it's the most southern point of the US and it is really close to Cuba. Why is this? Any history behind this?

It was interesting that I saw a lot of Haitian people though doing Uber. So there's a big population of Haitians.

Contrary to what may seem true -- most Cubans who come to the US did not/do not land at Key West in homemade spare tire barges. And even if they did, there's more job opportunities and reasonable housing in Miami, Tampa, or Orlando for the recently arrived than there are in Key West, so it makes sense to move north.
