I live in the Bahamas and need to stay in Miami for around 2 months at the end of the year when I have my baby. I will be bringing my husband and 4 children - we have found a nice apartment to rent online at N Bayshore Dr - is this a nice, safe area to stay with a young family?
Thank you!

Bayshore Drive is a VERY nice area right on Biscayne Bay in the Coconut Grove section of Miami.

Actually, North Bayshore Drive is located in Downtown Miami ( not in Coconut Grove, because there are two 'Bayshore Drive' in Miami, one is 'South Bayshore Drive' ( which is located in a good area of Coconut Grove ), like virtual instinct said, and there is a 'North Bayshore Drive', which is located Downtown ), right near Pace Park, and is a somewhat safe area and a OK neighborhood to stay, but it's pretty close to Overtown ( bad and crime infested neighborhood ).

That area is so nice, you'll have fun. Anywhere from roughly Downtown through Brickell, Coconut Grove and all the way south is some of Miami's nicest places. Bayshore Dr is in this area.

Again, as JacobMAX stated above, North Bayshore Drive is NOT south of downtown. It's north of downtown, from the Omni area and north. Big difference.
