You make the case that everyone should have access to a decent standard of medical care, and that poor people shouldn't have to rely on quacks.

I quite agree with you. It's a travesty that we as a society don't consider health care a human right, especially in Florida.

A followup on this story.
Miami abortion clinic owner threw newborn away, prosecutors say -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

She's being charged with practicing medicine without a license and tampering with evidence but not with murder or even manslaughter. The victim's mother (the girl who had the baby) is also sueing so hopefully the award will be enough to close this place down.

"Belkis Gonzalez, 43, of Miramar, was arrested Tuesday and charged with practicing medicine without a license and tampering with evidence, both felonies, the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office said." (Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office / March 4, 2009)
Miami abortion clinic owner threw newborn away, prosecutors say -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

I cant believe I am reading this. Is it me, or is South FL filled with these people trying to practice medicine without a license? I see them screwing up people's faces who are undergoing cosmetic surgery, and now this? This is crazy! When will it end, and why do these people from Cuba and Haiti come to S FL and thing they can get away this, and take people's lives into their own hands without the proper education? They should shut this place down and throw the idiots in prison.

And heres where we need the Death Penalty- you kill- you die. Easy as it sounds. And he should die the same way- in a garbage bag.

Pure filth. When will South FL stop attracting these people? There's a lot of good ppl in South FL, but one of the things I cant stand about South FL is the filth that it attracts.

There was a thread about a newly arrived HAITIAN immigrant woman givng birth to a baby on some godforsaken street in Little Haiti and then just leaving it there...

We should routinely deport people for such acts.

I think the point people are trying to make is that it would have been 100% OK if he didn't come from any black or Hispanic ethnic background.

Now don't get me wrong, I 100% agree that people like this doctor should be deported...

Oh yeah Compelled, if it were a white doctor, it would have been OK with us. Gimme a break! Most people dont think that way man. It wouldn't be OK with me no matter who was involved. It just so happens that a white doctor was not involved in this sad story.
