Does anyone have information on this apartment complex? I'm only in Miami for two months and they seem to be very reasonably priced...hence my concern.

I've used google satellite to look at the area and it looks a little worrisome, but it is hard to tell. The address is 432 NE 26 St, 33137. Should I worry about the lack of secure parking in that area?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes... the Fortuna House...I live on 19th, the neighborhood is not that bad. You are one block from the Bay. I have seen the building while riding my bike, but I have never seen the inside. I assume you'll be parking on the street? Your car will probably not be stolen. There is a decent supermarket on 18th, and another one on 47th. There are some great restaurants in the area. You are a short bike ride away from Midtown (Target, shops, etc). Bus stop right there, and 15 minutes by foot from the metomover. There's a nice park on 19th and Bayshore.

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to ask "probably will not be stolen"? Does that mean cars can get stolen anywhere so you didn't want to definitively say it won't or did you mean cars are stolen in the area, but not in any great numbers?

We will have to be parking on the street and stealing/vandalism is a big concern of mine. I have never understood why people walk by and key cars or pop tires. Anyway, thanks again!

Cars are stolen, but not in great numbers, and 26th and Biscayne (where Fortuna is located) is a relatively quiet street, as it cul-de-sacs at the bay. If I was a Las Vegas better, I would bet that your car won't be stolen, but I would not guarantee that it won't escape kniks and scratches from driving and parking in Miami. I have 2 cars here, one is a Red Jeep that I try to keep looking good, and a Cavalier that has coconut dents, as well as an assorted amount of scratches and dents, and that I use when I drive in Miami and I could care less if it gets sratched cause it's a sucky ugly car.
