Hello! My name is Ana-Maria Olteanu and I am from Romania. I have 23 years and I want to work in miami. My husband and I decided to work in miami but we don`t know how to find a job and if we do, they will accept us and make us the green card? Please help me. He works here as engineer and I am a advisor in a workshop of stained glass. We accept any jobs. Thank you.

Can you tell me the prices on a rental apartment? Or a room in miami?

Everone who wants to come to the United States to work knows the regulations. It is very difficult to come here on a tourist visa to find work and hope that a company will sponsor you. You can find work as illegal aliens, but I do not recommend this.

Price for a room or apartment depends on the area. Maybe $800 - $1200 a month.

Actually its also Immigration Fraud to come here on a Tourist Visa and then apply for AOS to a Green Card.

Either way, trying to find an employer that will sponser you both for a green card is next to impossible in Miami, especially since this year in 2007 the quota of Green Cards has already been used.

Why dont you look for work in Europe? Now that Romania is somewhat an EU country it must be easier for you.

As im sure you've already figured out if you are here in Miami, its very expensive to live here compared to Romania. Yes the jobs are better, but you have to be LEGAL to get them.

For those Americans who dont know.. The average salary in Romania is $200-300/month.

But at least now they have a 15% flat income tax and thats it!

thats why universal outsourced so much work and actually built a exact replica of the hollywood studios in romania. you can literally leave a notebook in hollywood, ca and visit the same room in romania and go 'damnit i left it in LA'

Default Thank you for answer

This is the situation in my country but trust me is imposible to live here. I have rent to pay, I can`t buy a house, I have a job payed very good but is imposible to live with that money. That why my husband and I decided to move there. I made contact with a stained glass work shop from Miami and they answered me. But also they asked me about visa. I make stained glass and I am very good at that. But here in Roumania this job is not pay enough. My husband is a xerox specialist with lots of studies but also his work is not payed like it should. This is the life here and we think that we live good unlike others. Thank you for your time.
