I beg to differ. I live downtown and I love it. Publix is a mile away, and homeless people don't bother me. If you're resourceful, you find out quickly which streets are usually shut/crowded and which aren't. It's all about personal preference.

I've been there they have the worlds slowest elevator to get to the bar on the 9th floor. It is a cool little bar and resonably priced. If your up further on Biscayne like above 54th St there is News Cafe & Soykas on 55th which has a nice bar as well as a place called Redlight on 76th street, which is a hidden little restaurant/bar.

Its done- its been done- I see staff in there everyday- and theyre not forcing these people to move anytime soon. The prices of Downtown condos don't justify the surroundings. At least not on my side of Downtown. Now if you live on Bayshore- or Biscayne- you have a different picture. Thats not the real Downtown either way.

They're supposedly scheduled to move in 2010. I guess we'll see won't we?
