There are some condos on NW 97th Ave & about 46 Street. The Greens at Doral. They use to be rentals, but now they're individually owned. 2 pools/gym/tennis/etc. Some units back up to a lake/golf course. It's a nice area, walking distance to Publix, and numerous other places. (Walgreens, Blockbuster, Chicken Kitchen, Starbucks, Pizza, etc..)

You could live close to Doral but every building is different and some are better than others.

Some might be over your budget. There are apartments in East Doral, Miami Springs, Flagler, Fountaine Bleau or whatever is called, and maybe, a big MAYBE East Hialeah. West Hialeah has a lot of apartment buildings but the commute is long, and the area is very recently arrived hispanic. I would personally prefer not to live there, at least East Hialeah is close to civilization (Doral, Downtown)
