ok from what i can research chango controls thunder, lightning and fire.

a santeria deity. the one they keep sacrificing those chickens to that you see near train tracks or by canals in south dade.

Ah ah boys, let's not trash other people's religion......we don't make fun of christians and their burning crosses or catholics and their pope mobile....let's all be tolerant of each other beliefs.

oh i wasnt trashing it. i just wanted to know what was behind the sacrificed birds i see along water ways or along train tracks

Yes, killing chickens is a religion..not sure about dancing under the rain....maybe native americans still do that...but not santeros. If I recall well, some people in the midwest dance with snakes in their hands to scare away the devil.....then they cut off their heads....
As much as I don't agree with killing chickens or goats for religious purposes, it is part of their beleifs. We all know how nasty it is to find dead poultry by the rail road tracks or street intersections. The story behind it is that it is suppose to cleanse your body of any malicious spirits or bad spells. I wish all those sacrifices were illegal, but in the Banana Republic, every thing goes. I wonder if throwing a bucket of KFC out the window works the same......
