I need help. After talking with the zoning and permit man in Rock River Twp. it looks like I'm going to need a perk test on our new land before we can get a permit to build our little camp/cabin/storage building.
I'm not having much luck finding Alger County info online. Not only are we new to Michigan, I've never done any of this stuff here in Ohio either.

Can anyone tell me where I start to arrange for a perk test and what to expect?

thanks
Martha

I do look down on Alger County directly from my couch, some consolation. A champagne view on a bear budget , but its working so far ,( been 2 years) along with my 330 foot well @ 2 gal. a min.

LOl I did not explain very well. The link is to all the forms and fees and general information.

LMAS is all the local health departments. We have the same thing here with Central State.

Then in the link, you can find Alger County Health Department.

This is the home page.

At one time Alger County was using the services of Marquette County, for building inspectors, some permits, and procedures. Not sure if they still do. Its a low populated county with only 9500 people, and lots of wilderness areas.
