I have two guesses, first would be pictured rock lakeshore. The other guess would be presque Isle in Marquette. I am only guessing.

It's not Presque Isle, I'm to familiar with that place. I'm going to guess..... hmmm...... the water doesn't seem cold enough to be Lake Superior (judging by the growth on the underwater rocks)... I'm going to say it's on the Lake Huron shore somewhere north of Alpena up towards the Soo.

This is in Michigan? Holy cow, I've never seen that before in all my years of having grown up and lived here. It seems like it should almost be a tourist destination and a site that would be featured nationally.

You've grown up in Michigan for many years and you didn't know Michigan had pictured rocks?!?!?! My elementary teachers couldn't resist talking about all of Michigan's geographical features! I was from Detroit area and have been up to Lake Huron once, but never got too witness the outstanding pictured rocks dotted along the northern shores

I know where that is . Closer to the masses than most would realize, and in an area mostly thought of as farming and boring. I'll let some more take their guesses first and not tell.

I now know where it is also but I cheated........hint, right click the photo and then click properties.....'turnip' is a clue.
