If I were you in the U.P I would watch this one closely! Snowbelt areas on the westside should also keep watch with the cold air coming in behind the low.

Meh....... A major storm up here is 18+ inches. I'll believe it when I see it

We're about due for our first snowfall of the season anyways.

Maybe youll be pulling any little ones you may have, around on a sled trick-or-treating instead of a wagon this year.
The local weather man here has been talking about this storm for a while, saying it could snow a bit here...so I know youll get hammered up there. You guys will at least get lake effect I would imagine.

I understand from friends that there was snow in the Straits today. I went out and brought home several cords of cut/split wood today via trailer. My new wood stove is cranked up! I'm ready .....bring it on!!

Send some snow over here. It's been in the 50s all week, with a forecast high of 75 tomorrow.

What an unfortunate name that weatherman has. I'll believe it when I see it, so far the accuracy records for long term forecasts are not much to write home about. So far this Fall I've heard 1) Colder then normal with a LOT of snow, 2) Colder than normal with less than average snowfall, 3) warmer than normal with heavy snowfall, and 4) Normal temps with below average snowfall.

They way I greet winter is being ready for blizzards every week and bitter cold temps from Late Oct to April. When it snows I remove it from the driveway, sometimes with the snowblower, other times with a shovel, once or twice last winter with my shop broom. If it is worse case winter, I'm set. If it is like last winter, you don't even notice it.
