Summer arrived May 12th. 2011 at miserable 88F for a high temp for the day. Friday was not much better at 83F either. Many of the flowering shrubs and fruit trees just bloomed from nothing to all out in both days.
Got to say that the fruit trees here wild or other wise are just loaded, qunice, almonds, and lilacs are so loaded with blooms many branches are struggling to hold the weight of the flowers which are full of rain at the moment.

Fall has now moved back in for the next 4-5 days with temps in the low 50's to mid 50's. Weve had 5" of rain with another 3" on the way. I did not like that mini heatwave....well, mostly the humid part

Ditto this....loving this cool weather, did not enjoy those few hot muggy days - especially knowing there are many more of them to come.
Love all the flowers and leaves busting out, though.

The cooler weather is awesome when all the flowers are out and everything is green. It makes it a lot less depressing. Ill take the cooler weather especially when the sun is out...perfect!

Thursday the 12th it was 85deg here in Boyne. So nice I hit the road for bike ride....my Trek 460, that is. I love summer.

You stole my thunder. I felt so good on the sunny days, even the humid ones I felt like I had to get out and do something. Now that the crap is back I have no desire or ambition.

Yesterday was more May spring like temps at 64F of the 67F normal temps for this area this time of year. Nearly 3 inches of rain didn't stop work needing to be done though. Got the oil changed on one mower, recoil rebuilt on a second one. Still need to remove a fly wheel on a third and install new points and condenser.
Also want to get the old wheel horse I picked up out and see if I can get it running.
The Allis D 17 also a waits for me to find time to remove the head and get the left over spark plug removed. Never seen any thing like that before.
Rainy days are real nice for working inside, not so good for those who have to mow acres of grass every 3 days or so. I much perfer to plow snow a half dozen times a winter than mow so much.

Yeah...I havent seen this much rain in a LONG time! There is a low stuck off the East coast not letting this low move. Its actually gonna move off Monday..then spin back and hit us again Tues-Wed. But...its gonna be warmer anyways.

Hey it stopped raining here about an hour and a half ago and the sun almost came out! I was in a restaurant having brunch with friends and a small cheer went up.
It was 45 degrees and raining when I woke up at 7 am, now at 4 pm it is still 45 degrees but it's not raining. So I am calling it progress.
