It's that time of year again Just thought we might be able to keep each other informed of how colors are in your area. They're starting to turn in the Marquette area, but not peaking yet.

I'm interested to know how they are out in the Porcupine Mountains area as I want to take a trip over there and I know it tends to peak there before it does in MQT.

There are a few in this area that are starting to turn now. Should start to pick up in the very near future, it has been very cool over the last few nights.

I think the entire U.P. is under a freeze warning tonight, then we'll be back up in the mid-to-upper 60s.

Is that normal Michigan weather to be freezing....before the leaves have turned the beautiful colors.

Two crisp nights here West of Reed City. Drove to Big Rapids cackling like a loon to my husband over all the maples beginning to flame. It's here! It's here!

Went to the doctor to try again and get rid of the sinus infection that has spent the last month kicking my rear around the block (yay prednisone!). You kind folks did not tell me that second to Dallas, Michigan (namely, my back yard, here in Michigan) is the Ragweed Capital of the World. Guess what allergen I scored highest on? I'll give you a hint, it starts with ragweed.

Ragweed is a good chunk of why I left Texas. When the nurses at the local hospital are on a first name basis, it's time to go....

Thankfully Michigan has snow and color and summer doesn't last 10 months.

Wheeeeeee!!!! Fall is here! Fall is here! I want to drive up to Charlevoix again. And I have to find a cider place by us.... I can't wait to watch our woods turn. It's so amazing, one day green, next day color kissing the tips of branches here and there. Already, some of the colors are jaw droppingly vibrant. It's here! And it's one blissful march up to Christmas.

September through January is the best.time.of.year.evah!
