I'm disappointed by George Noory's fostering the fear inflation or economic collapse on Coast To Coast AM, so as to load the listeners with gold or silver at the top of the market. The presenter, who comes from Detroit and resides elsewhere, could at least as easily have profited from getting each of them to buy a home in Detroit or thereabouts, and at probably near the bottom of the market. And that would be noble, no?

And if, as a `non-resident alien´, I can proffer us advice, then, for as long as it's affordable, to go to the expense of buying an attractive home in a desirable situation. After all, I can recall the Britain of the early Sixties, when the price-difference between, say, a modest house and a detached one in a better part of town was proportionally tiny in relation to what would obtain today. For example, my parents bought a terraced house in a desirable part of England for about ₤ 1800, though they could have gone for a detached one with an extra bathroom for only fifty Pounds more. But the difference in price nowadays would be far too much for most of us
