I would like to know what it is like to live in Zeeland MI. What is the weather, people, activities like there? Where are the best areas to live there? Is it a small or large town?

Don't mow your lawn on Sunday -- they don't like it disturbed with noise.

I don't know much but that the neighborhoods are tidy and clean, people are the responsible types, you likely will not be kept awake at 3 am with loud music from wild parties.

And it's a small town right next to a big one -- so there's plenty to do.

They had a weird liquor ban in effect for a long time until recently, if that tells you anything.

Zeeland is a nice little town. Close enought to Holland or Grand Rapids if you want to go somewhere. Close to the lake for during the summer months. I think most people tend to forget that it's there since Holland is so close. They usually get a lot of lake effect snow during the winter because of how close to the lake they are....and lots of areas in West Michigan have been "dry" untill just recently. No where in Ottawa county do they sell liquor on Sunday. Hudsonville (which is right down the road) is where I grew up and untill this past November they were a dry town so Zeeland really isn't out of the ordinary on that one.

That's actually wrong. No where in Ottawa County do they sell beer and wine. But liquor by the glass is fine as long as there is no local ordinance. Weird, but true. This law is being worked on and may be on the November 2008 ballot.
