A wonderful country drive is to go to Hell, Get a snack at the damn site Inn, do a little shopping at the Hell counry store, get back on the road and tour Pickney area, its hilly and winding roads. They have a canoe livery too, more romance. For more info:

I don't know if the previous post was supposed to be funny, but it is.

Sounds like the least romantic tour one could possibly take.

Default Married in hell

Did I mention Hell has its very own wedding chapel? What better way for a marriage to start out then to start out in Hell. So many marriages end up in Hell get a jump and start yours in Hell.

Take her to Hell. The drive from Ann Arbor to hell is very pretty and fund roads. You can picnic in Hell along Hell Creek. Great canoeing spots in the area and what fun to go on a date to Hell.

Coldwater also has some great sightseeing if you like historic neighborhoods. The surrounding roads can be fun and pretty too.

Macinac Island is probably one of the more potenetially romantic places.

Great sunsets on West side beaches (lake Michigan) find a place with a lighthouse nearby.

McDonald's is nice and has a Dollar Menu.

Nothing says "I love you" like a greazy Double-Cheeseburger...

Just find a secluded spot by a lake under some trees and throw a blanket on the ground. Let the stars be your ceiling and the sound of the waves be your music while you are eating your greasy cheeseburger. Don't forget the hot apple pie and a rubber ducky.

A couple of romantic resturaunts:

Lord Fox in Dixborough (outside Ann Arbor)

The Coach Insignia (top of the RenCen in Detroit).

Portofinos (On the water in wyandotte).

Skip McDonalds, it is kind of common and boring. Try White Castle instead. It is a uniquely midwestern dining experience.

Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor on the railroad tracks.

Other suggestions:

Any small fireworks display on a lake.

Floating down the huron river in a raft or canoe.

Take the train to Chicago for dinner.

Some people find places like Frankemuth or Shipshiwana (Indiana) romantic, others find them Kitchy

Dinner Cruise on the Detroit Princess. (Reportedly bad food, but still romantic)

Twiligh walk in Kensington Metropark (especially in the fall)

Hayride & bonfire with hot cider or hot chocolate - many locations in the fall.

Be wary. Romance and mosquitoes do not mix well, nnor do Romance and deep woods off.
