Stitched together a panoramic view of Lake Michigan this morning from a series of 7 photos I took a couple days ago. This is looking due South on the left side to looking due North on the right side. First time ever doing a panorama so it is far from perfect, but turned out halfway decent I thought.

A few Pictures from the weekends camping trip to Tawas Point State Park.

The lighthouse of course.

Weird...but too bad, I like it. Going to the top of the lighthouse.

Beautiful beach and water. One of the nicest beaches on Lake Huron!

Spectacular weekend!

The beach was packed as far as the eye could see...north to south!

Packed!

The kite surfers were out in full force! The water was amazing, and the wind and waves were perfect!

Very nice 3M!

Oh and the panorama is easy if you have a newer PhotoShop. I know you have a tripod, just set the camera on the tripod (leveled) so it is taking the photos vertically, there is less distortion from side to side that way. Set the horizon right in the center (also to minimize lens distortion side to side). then you can either just shoot on "auto" and let the software adjust the color to match, or take a test shot and look at the settings. Set it to manual and then take a series of shots with at least a 25% overlap. Either make a note of what # the first and last photos in the set are your panorama, or a tip I learned from a pro is to hold one finger in front of the lens, take a shot, then do your set; at the end hold up 2 fingers and BINGO, no guessing where a series starts and ends if you lose the note with the numbers on it.

Open PhotoShop and use the photomerge option to open your series. It will merge the photos into a panorama, with minimal fine tuning on your part. It isn't fast, but it works quite well I found.

Great pictures blackzzz01

I watched some Eagles expand their wings on a rocky shore in SoCal.

From your own eyes their wing spand is huge! I swear , my livingroom wouldn't be big enough for one to spead it's wings in.
