Don't forget about Grand Funk Railroad and ? and the Mysterians....

Remember that tune.....96 tears?

While more of a cover band.....Rare Earth.

I hear some folks still like Madonna.

I've always liked the Eagles (Glenn Frey was born in Detroit).

So was Alice Cooper.

Absolutely Iggy with the Stooges!

Anyone, but Ted Nugent, the crackpot. The Amboy Dukes were okay, but Nugent as solo sux.

Michigan has also "adopted" some bands...

J. Geils and KISS.

I've read and heard interviews with these guys...they consider Michigan their second home. They are thrilled to perform there.

While KISS was prob'ly the most well marketed rock band ever, their performance at Cadillac High School's Homecoming was killer.....

Edgar Struble. Who?? You may ask who is Edgar Struble. Here is a bit about him:
Edgar Struble
Edgar Struble Biography
SIMPLICITY RECORDS WEBSITE - Edgar Struble Bio

Local guy who was great even as a kid with any musical instrument he picked up. Lives in California now, but he still considers Michigan in general, and Scottville in particular "home". On top of being a great musician, he is a great guy in person as well.

I have a feeling this list will be a long one since many recording artists are from here and lots more with Michigan ties .

The late Del Shannon in 1988 , boy I loved just about everything he recorded .

Has to be Bob Seger..........I used to like Ted Nugent LOTS...but have ya'll seen any recent interviews with him?????? He is wacko just like Michael Jackson was......NO disrespect...........but C'mon.........Ted is OVER the edge on his views/opinions of things IMO ......which clouds my opinion of him as a musician....
