Hi, I love the nature of Marquette with great hiking and biking, woods and beautiful lake. But there also aren't really many jobs for a computer science major. Any places where I can get a good paying job with beautiful nature? Open to anywhere in the country.

Portland, Oregon has a good tech base and a ton of natural wonder within a two hour drive. As does Seattle but the cost of living there makes it rough. Also have a look at Salt Lake City, which has some good tech options and is essentially Grand Rapids with mountains and Moab close enough for a long weekend trip.

Find a 100% remote job doing coding and you could in theory live in Marquette.

Although be sure you fully understand the pros and con's of a working a 100% fully virtual job.
Some people love it, others hate it.

I'm with DTWflyer on this. I work remotely, although I do occasionally travel to customer sites. My pay is 2X of anything I made working locally(I'm in Traverse City).

"A view of the bay for half your pay." Isn't an adage for no reason.

Housing prices are falling in Portland and Seattle last I heard. Lots of people leaving. Especially Portland.

Despite what Fox News may claim, prices in Portland were running about 7% higher at the end of 2020 than at the start of the year and inventory remains very tight for good properties. It's our back up pick for Phase 3.0 of our lives so I've been monitoring for a while.
