I used to want to be positive about each new year. Now I just want to stay negative.

When I was younger a typical xmas was bike 10-20 miles on peaceful empty roads. Now it's like any other peaceful day at home.

What are some nice, quaint, picturesque towns in Michigan, that you might have seen while biking or driving around the state?

I mostly stayed in Metro Detroit. One xmas ride was to the Troy library to return a book or video. Out of the suburbs is a summer ride, such as to Romeo because it had electricity while the suburbs were blacked out. I bought a drink at a Dairy Queen and went home. Otherwise I didn't care about towns, since my purpose of a long summer ride out of the burbs was usually quiet country roads.
