In response to "YOU CANNOT CELEBRATE ANYTHING YOU DO NOT INTEND TO CELEBRATE, PERIOD! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE"

The big debate of lent, Easter, Christmas and even Valentines Day is that many Christian are celebrating un-biblical pagan holiday, whether they admit it or not. It is always said by most, thats not what it means to me, despite God saying do not worship him in the same manner that Pagans worshiped their Gods.

So the big question is, Can Christians inadvertently partake in paganism or even be worshiping other Gods if they are doing the same exact activities that the pagans did when they worshiped their false idol gods, but with the name Jesus slapped on top of it instead??

I have Jesus Holy Spirit on My life and I recognize Christmas as the best time to celebrate the birth of the Messiah Lord Jesus Christ, and I do recognize the resurrection of Jesus Christ during the easter celebration , and I do not recognize these Holy Days as pagan , when You Worship the Lord Jesus Christ and do not condemn the holy Days because of some legalistic ideas ...... And Jesus Holy Spirit does not condemn me for not being legalistic about these Holy Days and for not condemning them as worldly pagan , and Jesus Spirit even will lead me to buy a present for others of Christmas ...... Then for worshiping other gods like the worship the beast which is accepting sin in a life , like pride is worship of leviathan spirit of this world , do you resist pride ?....... So to all people who condemn the holy days in this age what did Jesus Holy Spirit tell you about this ?.....Or does legalism lead you

Absolutely NOT! What you are celebrating or worshiping depends ENTIRELY on your state of mind, i.e., what you INTEND to celebrate or worship. The idea that you can inadvertently celebrate or worship anything is preposterous! What are YOU thinking when you celebrate or worship?? is it determined by WHAT you are DOING or by what you are THINKING????

And we all know how well that thinking worked for the Israelites and their golden calf....they said, and therefore thought, that the golden calf was the god that brought them out of Egypt.

Did we forget that He told us that ALL they (Israelites) went through was for our example? Of both what to do, and NOT to do??? Peace

IMO the most important known "fact" surrounding this issue and standing out in a sea of swirling possibilities is………….. God judges the heart of the individual.

This is Christianity lesson 101 behind the parable by Jesus Who spoke about the one who said they would do their Father's Will but did not, versus the one who said he would not but then repented and proceeded to fulfill His Father's Will.

Are you saying you believe they thought they were worshiping God and NOT the Golden Calf. That is preposterous. They were worshiping the Calf, not God. What was in their minds is what they were worshiping. Are you trying to say they thought they were worshiping God and NOT the Calf???? How do you get that??? When you celebrate Jesus are you thinking about something else????

The pagan festivals were long replaced by christian . The misconception is we still are honoring Estar, Saturrnalia and whatever on wishes to hook us up with . It's a lack of understanding history and how the church slam dunks the pagans. Agostics and atheists totally disconnected
with everything love to harp on this nonesense.

Exodus 32:
1When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”
2Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” 3So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. 4He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”
5When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.” 6So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.
7Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt. 8They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.’

Yes, it is about the motive of the heart. And here's the rub to that. Once presented with the Truth of the Word, being held accountable for what you know comes into play, as the Spirit of the Word begins the conviction process. The heart that is seeking after Him and His Truth (pure motive) will repent and seek to correct it.

Anything within that is standing in opposition to revealed Truth, is to be cast into the fire and consumed, Amen? Peace
