I did some search and finally decided to move to Rochester Hills area, (the closer to the Oakland University, the better)...or maybe Auburn Hills where is far away from the boarder of Pontiac
If you know anything about rental for one bedroom/bachelor suite housing, less than $800/month...please please tell me!
much appreciated!
(I'm moving there for OU and am a grad. student)

Not offhand, I've done a lot of work in that area but otherwise don't know it really well - craigslist might be your best bet, especially if you'd be open to a house sharing arrangement. A friend of mine lived for a couple of years in a rented room/house sharing arrangement in a beautiful big house with a pool and all the amenities for $350 a month, in Sterling Heights. That sort of thing can be a sweet deal if you can find a harmonious arrangement.

Most areas north and east of OU are pretty nice. Anywhere up the M-24 corridor towards Lake Orion is pretty, and that is not a bad commute, either. South and west you're getting into more congestion, sprawl and some dodgy areas.
