A really good company to me was Boeing out in Seattle Washington. As soon as I said I was a u.s veteran and a college graduate they instantly became enamoured. Although I never got to accept the offer at Boeing (family conflict) I still am proud that premier companies like Boeing love when you speak up about the service you provided while in the military. I am a disabled veteran now and look hard to try to find work around Madison ,wi and theres not the same love you recieve that you would recieve if in other cities with other companies. Its almost a discrimination against you to even put down military service on your resume and geeze the jobs in Madison ,wi are a cake compared to what I was responsible of doing out in Seattle while in Boeing pre employment training.
Soory but I worked with too many veterans who actaully got much credit for the trainig they received to buy the OPs comment. But I doubt hsi experience is widespread enough to judge.Being a veteran I agree that it sin't a automatic ticket but definely not any hindrance.
Boeing was founded by the Pentagon and would not be here without its numerous fat military contracts
so logically doesn't want to bite the hand that feeds etc.
I now, fact certain, that many large corporations view military enlisted service as a stigma.
The Boeing Company was founded in 1916 and created an airline named Boeing Air Transport and later began manufacturing civilian airplanes, on famous airline of the time in 1933, the Boeing 247D , they later acquired a major aircraft engine manufacture in the late 1920's Boeing kept growing over the years becoming a major aerospace and defense corporation.

Come on man get your facts straight....a VERY quick Google search can prove you wrong.....
Please tell us what facts you have? Please don't say "becasue I know."
I don't doubt that there may be individuals at companies that have a stigma against military, but I doubt there is any company that has that as culture of their business
