King Company Pay Per View, a company owned by boxing promoter Don King, has filed numerous lawsuits against American Legion Halls and other veterans groups for showing pay per view fights at their halls without compensating King. Note that no cover charge is usually asked for at these get togethers. The latest suit has King's outfit as wqell as another pay per view syndicator asking an American Legion post in Chino for $160,000.

God bless America, huh Don?

I don't understand this guy. In the past he has donated thousands of dollars worth of boxing equipment to troops overseas. No doubt a tax right off, but still, why chase the American Legion? Hasn't he ever heard of SOPCAST and other free sources for PPV fights on the internet? That's what's really eating into the PPV profits.

I can understand the financial burden these veterans feel. My American Legion post is a small post also with limited funds. But when we meet it's down to business with a mixture of WWII, Korean, Vietnam and Gulf War veterans. Plus those, like me who didn't serve in a time of war.

Don King is a convicted murderer with possible mob ties. He is lower than scum and..........I'll stop. I haven't watched a boxing match he is involved with in over ten years. And never will again.
I hope American Legion post 299 gets this sham of a suit overturned.

UFC is #1 PPV event...Not only does it get more viewership, a lot of advertiser jumped ship by spending their boxing money on UFC events.
