I'm looking for easy access to the UWM campus (preferably walking or a short bus ride) and close to a grocery store. I'm not into the party scene (got that out as an undergrad) and I'll be focused a lot on studying. Will be looking for a roommate or two to share rent with. I've heard Shorewood is a nice area. Are there any other parts of town that fit my requisites? I don't have any preference apartment vs house as long as I can rent.

You probably don't want to be too far from campus. I would suggest the Shorewood area around Capitol and Oakland as being convenient. A #15 bus will get you to campus if you don't want to walk or bike. Otherwise the area around E. North and Lake Dr. is good and next to Whole Foods. It is a good quiet area and next to the lake. A #30 bus which runs frequently will take you to campus quickly.
