Easy, East more specifically South of Brady Street aka Lower East Side. It's less college types and more professional plus I like the housing stock more.

Well, it really just depends on what you like. I had grown up and spent much of my twenties in riverwest. It's a great neighborhood for a certain type of person, I still enjoy spending time in the neighborhood.

With that said, my wife and I just bought a duplex a couple months ago near downer-locust and are converting to a single family. We're very happy with the neighborhood and look forward to having kids here.

The areas are relatively close and overlap on what they offer a bit. I would look over what best suites you and makes you happy, there is no perfect neighborhood, both areas have alot to offer.
