Hi Everyone
Would anybody please recommend good snack for teenagers?
I found bunch of snacks in the store, it is hard to make the decision just base on the reivews. I would like to choose some real good snacks for my child to take as supplement of protein and carbohydrate during the class or activity break.
I prefer listening to opinion from the people on city data.
How about beaf jerky(Jack Links, Great Value), granola bar(Quaker, Nature Valley) and Chocolate chewy bar (Fiber One)?

Thanks in advance

Just let them have what they want...in moderation. Don't give them any snacks recommended by the Food Police. They all taste like crap. I grew up on chips, candy, and soda. I worked out regularly and was never obese. I was lucky to have parents that didn't deprive me but still showed discipline and because of that I was able to make logical choices for myself as I got older.

Good protein snacks are hard boiled eggs, raw nuts such as almonds, or a piece of whole what bread (or scone) with natural peanut butter. You could also get low fat yogurt, just watch how much sugar is in it, some yogurt had as much sugar as fruit juice or soda.

You can easily make healthy granola that can be taken along with your child that had much less sugar and carbs than what you find in most pre-made granola bars.

Fresh fruit is always good, or pre packaged vegetables with some hummus dip.

I don't think so. She may be from outside the US and unfamiliar with American snack food.

Thanks for your understanding! I am from outside the States.
I bought some Nabisco Chips Ahoy Nutter Butter & Oreo Cookies Variety Pack, 12ct from the Walmart online store. My daughter loves it. Thanks so much for the suggestion given by you and others!

^_^

Okay... But you bought the worst possible snacks you could. I though this was a joke because everything suggested was so obviously unhealthy...

I would hardly consider 15 to be a child. Seems more like a young adult to me.
