I am a single parent with a 10th grader. I am considering relocating to Milwaukee, as I have heard that it has good public schools and programs for kids with ADHD and on the Autism Spectrum.

Where are the good public high schools (counties/districts) that have good programs for kids with the above special needs? Or what is the name of the programs that service children with this need of this age?

I do not wish to go the private school route.

I am currently in Maryland.

Thanks in advance,
ShepherdsSheep

10th grader ? IMHO, your best bet is to let your child finish current school with his/her friends (even if he/she only has one - those things are very precious and not each child can do great in a new school this late). Unless, staying in the old school is not an option. Even then, moving to another state is a big deal.

King International has a good autism program. Plus, the school is the 9th best high school in Wisconsin according to U.S. News. You should look into King.

Let the OP do the parenting. Lots of valid reasons to move, regardless. We don’t know her specifics nor do we need to ask.
