Hello
Do any of you have a child with ADHD in a north Fulton public school (elementary/middle or high school) that you feel is good fit? Taylor rd? Autrey mill? Northview? Do you know which counties are best equipped? A psychologist had once told me her interactions with Gwinnett county elementary schools were excellent in dealing with accommodations but this was years ago.

I am seeking advice on whether these high performing schools have been ok for parents with ADHD child. I toured couple of north Fulton schools this week (autrey mill, river trail) and a mother with ADHD child was in group and I was surprised at how unhelpful the counselor was in answering the mothers questions. Then another parent told me river trail middle, northview and Johns creek HS were not "good fits" for her ADHD child due to rapid drugs and severe academic challenges. I am considering moving to the Johns creek area but am concerned as one of my kids has 504 and ADHD but no current academic challenges (straight A student) in a public elementary school but will start middle school next year and this concerns me. I don't think the school my child is currently at is that rigorous.

I am familiar with dekalb public schools and APS so specifically seeking recs for north Fulton or Gwinnett (or Cobb) and children with learning disabilities/ADHD (private school tuition is not option.)
