Kraftask, you KNOW we are friends!!!

I might be careful to use that term, a "ghetto accent".

By the way, just to throw it out there. It was somewhat recently that it was brought to my attention that the term, "Mulatto" is an inappropriate/demeaning term. I used it at work to describe a client that appeared to be of a combined "Caucasian/African-American" background.

A coworker made a comment to me about that term, which sparked my interest. I looked it up, and indeed, it is NOT a kind word. I have since, removed it from my vocabulary.

THIS is why we have these discussions. We generate discussions. We learn about other perspectives. And then we use our best judgement to decide if we should (or not) make changes.

Have a great day, everyone.

Yea I think the technical term is called Ebonics. I wish Brookfield, WI wasn't so darn expensive because i hear it's far nicer & safer than Milwaukee or Waukesha. Trying to get my daughter out of MPS before it's too late. Do you know if Wauwatosa or West Allis would be safer & cheaper alternatives to Waukesha? Doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of options in SE WI unless you have some degree of wealth.

Kraftask, I, unfortunately, can not speak on the West Allis and Wauwatosa school districts.

Are you looking to have them in public schools? Are private schools an option/desire??
