Hi! I have been looking for apartments but I'm not sure exactly where to look for these apartments, I will be working near 494 and County Road 6. I'm planning to move either July 1st or mid june if possible. My friends who I would like to be near-ish to (less than 30 mintue drive from) are in St Louis Park and Near Flying Cloud Drive. I'm looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom with AC and preferably a deck (2nd floor), a nice size kitchen for 825 (w/utilities included) and under. Or in the 700's if utilities are not included. Anyone able to help or give me tips?

THANK YOU!!

I think my advice would be look to St. Louis Park. Here's my reasoning:

1) relatively close to Plymouth area (work is I-494 and Cty. Rd. 6, right?) - my opinion is it often doesn't make sense to drive a long ways to work everyday. At least I would rather use my time doing other things than sitting in traffic, though I realize everyone has their own preferences.
2) You said you want to be near your friends in SLP.
3) An admittedly quick look on rent.com to get some idea of rental pricing seems to say you can find something in the range you're looking depending on specific needs such as newer/older building, amenities such as a pool, etc. Only slightly tough part might be the deck...not saying it's not there, just not sure...
4) SLP has a number of places that, while a little suburbanized, might appeal to a 20-something. Restaurants, stores such as Trader Joe's/Target/others, the whole West End development with the big theater, etc. Also, if you decide you want to a more urban experience, SLP has pretty easy access to downtown or Uptown area.

There's my two cents...
