Hello,

We're hoping to move to the cities soon and I would like to enroll my three children, ages 9, 11 & 13 in a Christian school. We are looking at the eastern side of the cities and would love to end up in Lakeland Shores or Hudson. I am fine with having to drive them as far as Minneapolis if needed.

Does anyone know anything about Bethany Academy? Or how about Christian Life School in Farmington? Bethany seems to have more sports and extracurricular activities. These are within our price range. Are there others out there I've missed? I would love to have football for my son eventually and fine arts for my daughters if possible.

I've eliminated Maranatha and New Life Academy due to our own personal religious preferences (no offense to anyone), but they seem like excellent schools with all the extracurricular stuff you could dream of.

TIA,
Lisa

I think New Life Academy in Woodbury is nondenominational.

Minnehaha Academy is associated with the Ev.Covenant Church, but people of all faiths (and none) attend there. The academics are outstanding and suggest that you check us out. We are located on West River Road in south Minneapolis, and draw from all over the Twin Cities.

You will NOT want to drive from Lakeland or Hudson to Farmington, especially in the winter and especially twice/day.

Is there a specific reason you want a Christian school? There are a lot of really good public schools here. Most of the religious schools in this are are faith based, mostly Catholic or Lutheran, at least those with any size that will have football, etc. Some of these smaller schools, though, may have cooperative agreements with the public schools so that is something to look into as well.

Default Changed my mind...

OK, so New Life Academy is back in the running. I changed my mind. And we are looking in to Woodbury, Maplewood and Afton for a house. Thanks for all your responses. I don't see any information at all about NLA on this forum? Does anyone have any feedback on NLA out there? I've only seen and heard good things elsewhere, but am always keeping my eyes peeled.

I'm going to start a new thread, so please forgive the redundancy.
