I am looking to purchase my first home in the next few months! I am hoping someone has a recommendation for a Realtor that specializes in buying only and/or first time home buying. I am potentially looking at getting a foreclosure and doing a FHA rehab mortgage, so someone that has some knowledge in that would be great too. Any suggestions?!

Pat Rosaves is one very experienced realtor. She writes a column in the Longfellow Nokomis Messenger. She was already well known in the early 90's when I got my house. I used another broker named Sandy Green. I'm not sure what she does nowadays. I saw her at the Housing Fair a few weeks ago.

Heather Dawe with Remax Results would be my recommendation. She is very experienced and passionate about ensuring she does what's right for her clients whether she is representing a buyer or the seller. She knows South Minneapolis very well but I cannot speak to the foreclosure piece since we have not purchased any foreclosures with her.

In your decision process I strongly urge you to sit down and talk with whomever makes your 'short list'. Everyone has a different personality and therefore we all get along differently. For a process such as home buying, you want to make sure that the person you chose jives well with YOU, not just someone here on the board.

Good luck!
