Moving from Dallas to MN in four weeks and need to find an apartment.

I am looking for an apartment in southwest minneapolis that is newer and very nice. I have looked in Eden Prairie (watertower) and Edina (cornelia place) and have only found these two communities that are of interest to me. Both of these places are also close to my office (approx. 8-10 miles).

Any other suggestions of apartments that I may have overlooked or may not be listed yet?

Thanks

I would suggest trying Eagan which is a suburb that borders Bloomington to the east. I'm a bit biased because I lived in Eagan and worked in the southern suburbs for a few years and it's my favorite of the southern suburbs. There are quite a few reasonable townhomes and apartments in the area and if you look for places close to Town Centre, you'll be close to freeways, resturants, and shopping.
Usually the freeways crossing the river are pretty slow during rush hour but it usually took me no more than 15 min to 1/2 hour to get to Bloomington during the rush (sometimes less, depending are starting and end point). I had a 2 bd. 2 bath townhome that had a w/d in unit, garage and allowed pets for just under $1,000/month and it was super quiet and safe. Eagan is a great area with lots of trees and little lakes and 10 miles from downtown St. Paul. Just a suggestion! Good luck with your move!
