Keep in mind that this isn't very useful if you're not already familiar with the area. Interesting for those of us who walk in these neighborhoods, but the characterization of "most dangerous" is misleading. Some of these intersections DO have major design flaws -- Hennepin and Lagoon is terrible, for example, with two lanes of cars turning on people as they're crossing on the green light -- but part of the reason some of these areas have so many accidents is because they also have a very high pedestrian count.

That said, I hope we can use this data to make some significant changes, and start to prioritize people over cars or traffic flow. Clearly there is ample room for improvement when it comes to pedestrian safety.

This tells us what the major intersections are. Logically, a busy corridor with lot's of foot traffic walking to primarily bars, crossing major intersections, with alcohol involved is going to be higher than a sleepy neighborhood or suburb.
