Hmmm...I'll take that as a compliment. Back-handed ones are duly accepted. I'm hurt...nontheless.

I am from Wisconsin, an hour from Minneapolis. I am moving down south soon, and I hate to admit, that yes, being a Scandinavian myself, I have to put my opinion down that we are not the warmest, fuzziest people around. Southerners are known for their hospitality, we are stuck in the cold (double digit below zero cold) and get a bit cranky around this time of year...so that's my two cents worth.

I see less stoicism and more egalitarianism combined with rational mindset. There appear to be less disengenuous hyperpolic manifestations of counter-culture here.

That is all in my humble opinion.

Whatever you want to call the culture there, I will gladly take it over what I have found on the East Coast, West Coast, Southeast, and especially in Florida over the last few years.

I discovered Jeanie Hoholik through this forum - actually both this forum and a question she replied to on zillow.com - regardless, she came off as a very active and hard-working realtor with a strong interest in her clients so I approached her and felt realy awkward about actually divulging my 'screen name' until the day before we planned to meet.

Hoosier's statement was very inappropriate and mean-spirited. One thing I learned by meeting Jeanie in person is that we are all real people behind our screen names, and you might just need to call in a favor from someone on here someday!

Jeanie actually went out of her way to meet us on New Year's Day to show us a potential investment property listed in the $40Ks. And I would hardly call someone willing to give up time on one of the major holidays of the year to show ONE property that would amount to a VERY little commission "a bloodsucker". If you need a realtor, I would say what sets Jeannie apart from the rest is her responsiveness - I had waited on another realtor for days to call me back but got an instant email back from Jeannie. In person she is warm, laid-back, knowledgable, and has been willing to go out of her way to help out a couple of flakes like us despite the potential of big dividends. Just thought I'd put in my two cents, thanks Jeanie!

no I meant that but I generally dont like to pass out compliments. She doesnt strike me as the type of person whos only interest is commission. Obviously if that was her deal, she wouldnt be selling houses on the northside. I would kind of like a realtors opinion on good blocks in Camden, but Im too lazy to seek one out.
