Can't help you with pizza (as I'm gluten free and no gluten free pizza is good, sadly)-- but I'm originally from Montreal and lived in NYC for much of my adult life. While, Minneapolis doesn't have the insane variety of NYC-- the restaurant scene here is remarkably good! Very innovative (yet affordable!)-- plus, believe it or not, you can get poutine here in a bunch of different restaurants.

Now if we could just get a great (Montreal or New York style) bagel place (preferably one that has GF options for me!), we'd be all set!

Minneapolis has great pizza-- but expect to pay through the nose for it. $20-$30 for a large pizza is not out of the question.

There's plenty of good pizza, size large and even with a couple toppings other than cheese, under $20 in the Cities.

Sure, there's also good pizza that costs $20+. But that's hardly out of the ordinary for any large metropolitan area. Go to Chicago and order a Chicago-style pizza - a medium cheese-only will run about $20, and a large with a couple toppings will be well above $30 at a lot of places in the city.

Are you sure the poutine-vending restaurants are not concentrated in Little Canada?

have you tried Pizza Luce? I've tried it a few times when eating with friends who avoid gluten, and it's pretty good.
