I cannot believe the ineptitude in dealing with this company; after literally hours on the phone over problems with almost every aspect of signing up for cable service I'm hoping someone here can help us out.

here is a list of the stations that looks to be what is available for OTA antennas. I have a larger roof-top antenna and while about an hour from both downtowns, get most of these. Know it may not be feasible in your situation but this gives you a starting point on what may be available to view.
Not sure how these transfer to Comcast channels and maybe many of these don't. I think the last time I did a scan with my TV for OTA channels I picked up 28 and more than 20 of those receive regular viewing in our household. One of our recent favorites is Buzzer TV (9.4)...a wide mix of old game shows dating from the 50's thru the 90's, funny to see people get all whipped up on 'Let's Make a Deal' after winning a $2,500 Ford Pinto.
I have had some luck with the flat panel TV antennas but nothing close to what I could get on a roof top directional antenna.
