There's not going to a similar house at that price range in Edina itself. Surrounding suburbs, yes, but lot size will be smaller than a half acre.

Hello from a fellow former Indiana resident.

You won't get into Edina in your budget range, sadly. Even teardowns are going for more than that.

There are a lot of great school districts in the Twin Cities, though. Check out St. Louis Park, Hopkins and certain parts of Bloomington (the schools vary in quality depending on what part of the city you're looking at). There are also good schools in southwest Minneapolis along the border of Edina.

There is also some limited availability in this price range in Eden Prairie, and many places in Richfield which has a very good Spanish immersion program.

You should be able to find a 3-4 bedroom house in parts of Eden Prairie, St Louis Park, Hopkins, Bloomington, Chaska, and (maybe) Chanhassen or Victoria.

It will almost definitely be on a smaller lot and probably need some (hopefully just cosmetic) updates— but it’s doable. If you can up your budget to $350-$375, you’ll have significantly more options, but $325K might do the trick!

Welcome to Minnesota!

Welcome to Minnesota. Edina has some of the most expensive real estate in the Twin Cities. In that price range you wont get into a house in Edina unless its a smaller fix upper type house. You might be able to get into St. Louis Park, Maybe a few in Eden Prairie or Minnetonka. Eden Prairie and Minnetonka are more affluent than St. Louis Park so it will be harder. What was the age of your current house, newer, older. Suburbs here have houses with a variety of ages in that price range. Keep in mind you may make more money in Minneapolis which will allow you to get into a home that is 50,000 or 75,000 more than your current house.
