I would think sledding (bungee straps) would still be a viable option, even at that age

Don’t worry about kids playing outside in the winter. They all do and they all survive. Me and mine played outside everyday we possibly could, like others have said we kind of draw the line at zero. Even when the schools close because it’s too cold or too snowy the kids are outside in droves and in malls and in theaters. LOL. Playing outside in the winter is so full of choices, from sledding, to skating, hockey, snowman building, there is never a dull moment. We sometimes come in from outside, peel off the layers and are sweating hot, minus the toes of course.

I am assuming that sledding and skiing and snowboarding at terrain parks are activities on the weekend?

I know these may sound like stupid questions but we have lived in Florida our entire lives and have very active in sports orientated children.

Thx
Most kids usually ignore the cold weather especially when they get used to it. When we lived in MN, during winter time and when it's in the 30s and sunny, my 2 kids aren't wearing their coat when they get off the bus stop.

When it's upper 30s and snowing, after school, we usually go out and play on the driveway, it's really fun seeing those snow flakes coming down. After playing out, we will make hot cocoa or warm soup, that creates plenty of memorable moments. You and your kids will definitely like it.

When we moved from SoCal my child said "Oh, good! We made it just in time for winter!" Kids LOVE winter.

You have to go tubing! Three Rivers? I think it's called has the greatest winter tubing. Kids love it.
