People in my neighborhood have been talking about how incompetent the governor and mayor are but I don’t think they’ll vote much differently. Ilhan Omar has been openly supportive of the rioters and her daughter has helped organize them, but she’ll probably be re-elected.

I am not sure if we will stay here. I don’t mind the taxes and stupid bike lanes and all that, but the incompetence of the politicians here is putting our safety at risk.
I am fixing to leave this liberal heap of ---- behind me real soon. I am kicking myself for not getting away from all the Chicago scum while I had the chance. Stacy or North Branch are nice and clean still yet.

They just showed a large post office burned out — everything was totally burned even the roof.
So that means no mail and all the checks and important correspondence is fried.
Those poor people will have such a hard time getting their checks and business info redone.....

When I saw Jacob Frey on TV this morning, I almost passed out when I looked at him - his head is so large compared to his tiny body. I thought it was my TV playing tricks on me, but d--- he a weird looking dude.

Not a Minneapolis native, not a MN native. No right whatsoever to be mayor...started some gay marathon to boost up his fake existence, then runs for mayor and wins it. I do not know who's worse, Carter or Frey (though both of them are communists).

We're already making plans to go back south. We love Minnesota and have spent 3 years trying to build a life here, but I will not raise my family in this apocalyptic environment Tim Walz and the rest of these DFL nutbags have created. It's going to take years to recover from the damage these politicians have done....if recovery is even possible at this point. The advantages of living here that I've so often described in other posts have been overtaken by our vision of what this place is becoming and what it will look like in the years to come. Think Detroit. More like it every day. Not having it. Hell no.

The police have denied the identity of one man, but the other one is still unidentified.

Ordinarily, these kinds of police entrapment are done to get the protestors to commit the actual crime and round them up on charges. Here, you don't see that. The intent appears to be to force a stronger response from the police or national guard and broaden the protests. One sees this often in other countries where the US is trying to overthrow the government (against which Trump has actually made such threats). What's missing are the snipers.

Dude, you'll still be under Walz's and the DFL's thumb even up here. You'll still have to go to the cities for all your essentials like we do. There's just not much up here. It's never gonna change.

IMO the only way we can get back at them now is to leave. The cities comprise 2/3 of this state's population and they've spent years trying to conquer the rest of the state by trucking in Somalians who will be slam dunk votes every election.

To be even more honest I think this country is headed for civil war anyway..... and we don't want to be in these parts when that happens. I think we've reached the point of no return.

The photos from the StarTribune show some people who were tagged with police dye running from a scene of burned out destruction. Don’t know if they were Antifa, but their physical description would not contradict it. They would certainly look at home in Portland or Seattle. The targeting of banks (pic showed Wells Fargo burning) could be symbolic Antifa action.

Wonder how many of these rioters are from out of town/state? Regardless, it’s now a mix of legitimate FG protestors and assorted criminal elements taking advantage of weak leadership and chaos.

So much for obeying the curfew or the Mayor’s and Governor’s impassioned pleas. Really sad to see Mpls reach this state.

I agree with most of this. The so-called refugees that LSS and CC have been bringing in for decades now are nothing more than weapons - weapons against a state these communists view as "too white".

The welfare state that MN is - that has attracted hundreds of thousands more of trouble makers, the vast majority we are now dealing with burning our once-fine city down.

As far as the voter base, I think I disagree a little bit. This state is the only one in the Union that has a divided Senate/House - and it's just about evenly split right down the middle. How else could a guy like Trump, who spent little time here prior to election, almost beat out the democrat candidate? Granted it was Hillary, but still. If this state was as liberal as people thought it was, she would have crushed Trump.

Why is it assumed that the rioters are from another state? Most of them are local. There’s no reason for rioters to travel to the Twin Cities from Chicago, Minneapolis, St Louis, Detroit, wherever.. because ALL cities have protests of their own. Because similar killings have happened in many other cities.
The unrest is everywhere. People are angry and their anger is exploding.

I'm sensing a new influx of State of Minnesota refugees coming to South Dakota. Minnesota as a state has been kind to us over the last decades sending us many businesses to primarily escape their taxes. Now there appears to be a whole new group of people coming to escape their government's policies/idiocies that are destroying what once once a gem of a city.

It appears that Minneapolis is being turned over to all the thugs, brainless liberals of all colors, and (Yes, I'll say it) massive numbers of immigrants who refuse to assimilate.

I never dreamed that riots of this scale could happen there. This was the crazy crap that always happened in other cities. Thanks to all the Democratic elected officials and their cowardice, it is going to take the federal government to handle what they should have.

Someone mentioned the possible correlation with Detroit. Don't blink, it could happen.
