Thanks to the recent posters for your comments. The reason I list varying cities we're considering is that we either have family located there, or where a transfer is possible to retain careers with current employers. I understand completely that Boston and Dallas couldn't be further apart is comparison. The more I think about Boston, I believe we have removed this one from our list because we're not gaining much in weather and housing cost and traffic is worst then the Twin Cities.

We really love the Twin Cities and have a great life here. We are not looking to leave because we're bored. I am greatly struggling with giving up what we have here in order to gain access to warmer climate and/or proximity to family. The latter two criteria are not necessarily something we can achieve in reality so IF we end up moving, it would probably be to warmer climate.

I know there's been complaints about the cliqueness of the MN and aloofness but frankly it's not all that bothersome to me. I actually like the cordiality and let's just leave it at that. Aesthetically, the people here are beautiful. Have you ever walked Nicollet Mall on a beautiful day? I can't get over how beautiful the people are.

Ever wonder why the Dakotas are not overly populated...quality of life there is good too.
I moved from Mpls (hometown) to San Diego on more than one occasion. All in all, very good move, in spite of the cost of living.
