Going out on a limb here that someone might help me. I'm wondering if Brophy Lake in Douglas county is on a "chain" so to speak with Union, Stony and Cowdrey? Looking at buying property on Brophy and just wondering if a pontoon can make it to the other lakes.

Those locals in the area call those lakes "the mini chain", however now the water is too high that you cannot get through, and when the water is at the normal level, only smaller boats can get through, ones that are not so high up. A pontoon would not make it through. Smallish channels connect these going under roads also.

Can't thank you enough for the info. It's hard to tell from Google Earth whether this actually could be navigated from one end to the other through the channels.

I would suggest that you contact the local chamber of commerce or tourist authority in Alexandria for very specific details that answer your question.
See the link I've provided below as a start.

We spent a long weekend fishing on nearby Lake Miltona 2/3 of a lifetime ago and I well remember the Kensington Runestone tourist connection they had going at that time. I'm sure that the tourism folks still maintain their info sources and connections for the Alexandria area in order to help their overall tourism trade.

I can't give you a link for it at this minute but I've studied extremely detailed lake info provided online by the State of Minnesota for numerous lakes in that state that I have visited or at least seen.
