I'm looking for feedback on what people think it's like being over 30 and single in Minneapolis and being from Wisconsin. Do you think it's relatively easy for an out-of-towner to meet quality women here?

I think there are tons and tons of great single women over 30 here---I know many! I think that for a single man, Minneapolis would be a great place. What I don't see is quality single men over 30.

I'm 29 & single, does that count? LOL.

I think BarbaraMN may be right, though. Finding quality single men 30 or above may be a challenge.

the trick is the same as when you were 18-29, dont go to bars or clubs to meet them. If you maintain a decent circle of friends and are somewhat social then you will cross paths with people similar to your lifestyle all the time.

I have to agree with some of the other comments on this thread -- it definitely appears that there are a lot of quality available single ladies in the metro. But I guess it would depend on what you're looking for. I'm sure you will fare well here at any rate

wow this is a old tread but maybe I can bring some life back to it. I am 33 looking to broaden my dating scene. I have tried internet dating, but it seems that its harder then going to bars by myself. Can anyone suggest some places that have worked for them?

Most of my friends are nearing 30 and are still single, and there's nothing wrong with them, they just aren't ready for a committed relationship yet....which I think is becoming much more standard nowadays.

Yeah, I have the same concern. I am in my lower 30s and hoping to move back to MN soon. But I worry about how many available girls there are left. Almost all of the people I know from high school are not only married, but have at least one child. I guess I'll find out.

I'm moving to Highland Park end of Oct. Anyone game to meet up at Redstone in Eden Prairie?
I hear it's a great place on Friday night to meet women. Grand Ave is also a great area.
