TJ's is an organic grocery store with really good food, staff who help you and know about the products, free samples, and all of it is done-up in a retro tiki theme. It's pretty weird. I like organic food but will indulge in a Big Mac, Doritos, and other junk food now and then so I'm not a crunchy hemp-will-save-the-world type and even then Trader Joe's foods are really good and they're not pretentiously expensive either. Lot of stuff is cheaper than a regular grocery. The frozen Greek pizza they have is REALLY good as are the frozen enchiladas. They have a good pineapple salsa too.

TJ's is a family-owned business and I think that goes a long way to the quality and price structure. It is a grocery store, not a supermarket, and so don't carry as much bric-a-brac and non-food household items.

Here's Trader Joe's website.

Yikes!
That is a pretty big move.

I love Trader Joe's and I actually live about a mile from where the store will be opening, do you know anything about the hiring process as of now?

There wasn't any information on the Trade Joe's website,
but I was hoping to apply early on in the process.

We love the dark chocolate espresso beans, the dark chocolate bars (sold in three-packs up by the registers), the white corn tortilla chips, and the veggie sticks for snacking. Good stuff. And we're so glad one opened in Maple Grove. The parking and accessibility seem to be much better there than in SLP.

Being from the west coast, i am extremely estactic that a TJ is here. But I can't stand how busy it gets. My fave thing about the store is that you can return anything, no questions asked. Buy a banana, decide that it sucked, and you can actually return the peel for something else.

Default Hiring process

We have not set dates for accepting applications. We will not start setting up the store until the middle of August. We will start hiring soon after. A notice will be posted on the door, and on the website.

Hope to see you there,
Rich
