I am trying to look for rental homes in the Minneapolis area on realtor.com but only one listing comes up within a 10 mile radius. Am I doing something wrong or looking in the wrong place? Thanks.

I don't know about realtor.com's website, but Craigslist has a lot of listings.

Probably because realtor.com is primarily for properties for sale. Try finding a site that specializes in rentals.

Realtor.com does have a section for rentals and for other areas, there are lots of listings, i.e. Philadelphia and NY but perhaps Minneapolis landlords do not list on the MLS.

I checked realtor.com for listings in my area and nothing came up. If I had a place to rent, I would not post it on a realtor site but rather one that specializes in rentals.

We had the same problem when we got here; in Phoenix landlords actually use Realtors (and in Austin where we're headed), so most of the rentals are on Realtor.com.
