Hello Everyone:
Juts curious if any Pakistani, Indian or Bengali who moved from NYC to Minnesota??

Is it possible to find good jobs in Minnesota?

Is it worth leaving NYC for any other state?

Any input from any Pakistani, Indian or Bengali living in Minnesota will be highly appreciated.
thanks

I suspect many of us would wonder how you can stand living in NYC.

Not Pakistani, so can't help you there. Whether or not it's worth moving depends on what you want. I'm going to assume you mean Twin Cities here, as it's too difficult to compare all of Minnesota to just NYC. Minneapolis is MUCH cheaper than NYC, and still feels like a city and has decent urban amenities. That said, it most definitely does NOT feel like New York, so don't make the move if you can only imagine living in a major urban megacity. It's going to feel much, much smaller, not to mention much, much less diverse. But on the plus side, there are great jobs, cost of living is much lower. There's not a huge Indian, Pakistani, or Begali population, but there are some (in fact I used to know multiple former Indian New Yorkers; they liked it here, FWIW.). There's a huge Hindu Temple in Maple Grove that is, I've heard, one of the largest in the country, for example.

Are there any schools/institutions which train medical assistants? Here in NYC we have a lot of those kinds of schools. I am a medical instructor...Many Medical assistant training schools in NYC have immigrant population...are there any such schools in Minnesota?
I have always wanted to live in suburbs and quiet calm places away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. I once moved to North Dakota but couldn't find a job, came back to NYC and again found a job.
So was thinking should I completely get rid of the idea of living somewhere else than NYC or still it is worth a try...

There are several schools that do that, mainly the various community colleges but some for-profit places as well. MN has a very large medical community. There is also a fairly substantial, for MN, Asian Indian population in the metro area.
