I would have to agree with this.

I'll throw Kevin Brochman into the mix though--Olympic cross country skier. There are really so many to choose from though.

It would be Bud Grant hands down, who was a 3 sport (baseball, basketball, football) letterman for the U Of MN and was all Big-Ten in football twice. Was drafted by the NBA and NFL, won an NBA championship in 1950 with the Lakers and played his first year in 1951 for the Eagles as a defensive end (led the team in sacks) before switching to a wide receiver in his second year and ranked second in the league in yards. Became the first free agent shortly after where he then finished his career in 1956 playing both offense and defense in Canada and still owns the record for most interceptions (five) in a game and consistently led the league in receptions and yards. Unfortunately he was born a cheesehead and is now largely forgotten about in Minnesota because of that stain. So Dave Winfield....obviously.
