I WISH we only had to have one plate, but we are required to have two. I was driving a buddy's old Camaro once and was pulled over for lack of a front plate. It was displayed in the window, but that was not good enough. He didn't have a lic. plate mount on the front.

I agree. When I moved to Colorado from Florida, I had to buy a plate bracket and then drill it into the bumper of my car. That sucked.

Got car from Carvana, so there's no physical dealership i can go to out here.
My wife and I just each just bought new vehicles in MN. It looked like one plate when both arrived, but it was really two. I bet this is the case. My dealer hooked me up greatly as I have to renew my tabs in Nov 2018 (we renew yearly) my wife's is April 2018.

I was going to say, I bought my car in Minnesota and it needed two plates. As a matter of fact, I moved back to Washington state several months later and got the required two plates here. Problem is, I couldn't for love or money get that front plate off. So I think I drove almost a year with a Washington plate on the back and a Minnesota plate on the front. That front plate was welded and rusted on there, but a friend of mine finally got it taken off. I always wondered if anyone would have noticed if I left the MN front plate on.

OP, check to make sure you do only have one plate. There might be two but stuck together really well. Kind of like when you think you have one paper plate but really have two.

Let us know please! Thanks

Back of the car. Some states only require one plate and if that's the case in MN, it will be the back.

Mod cut., the dealership also agreed with what I'm being told. I didn't know if i should have put it on the front or back and he said back is where it would've gone. Turns out there were two, i was just too tired to have noticed.

Mod cut.
